GOOD NEWS !!!Diesel found his forever home. He had a visit this morning and the family decided to keep him. I will miss him being around but that is the price you pay for fostering dogs. I set out initially to keep Diesel from being euthanized and to find him a permanent home and it was successful!!

That's great to hear! I imagine with the economy being so bad, it's harder to find homes for dogs, and more people are sadly giving them up, as well. You did a wonderful thing.

What a fabulous dog!! It's difficult to find homes for big dogs - everyone here wants a small one, not easy to do when most dogs that come through the shelter are some sort of husky/lab/shepherd cross. You did a really great thing!

Diesel was probably the most incredible (and biggest) dog I've ever met, so sweet and gentle for a huge dog. I hope that we meet again someday.
We just got an email that there is a female mastiff recently surrendered and she's really thin -- probably neglect but I'm not sure. She's an adult so she should weigh somewhere in the neighborhood of 120 lbs. but they said she's too unhealthy to even spay at present. If she is cat-friendly, she will probably be coming here. I will post pictures.
